We are getting married, and we wanted you to hear it from us.

A letter to our family and friends

With grateful hearts, we want to share that we are getting married. As we prepare to enter the covenant of marriage, we have chosen an intimate ceremony with our family and a few very close friends.

We will not be able to celebrate in person with everyone we love, and we are thankful for every person who has prayed for us, encouraged us, and poured into our lives.

For those who have asked how they can bless us as we begin our life together, we have made a way for anyone who feels led to sow into our marriage and our new beginning. There is no obligation. Your prayers and your love are already a gift to us.

Above all, we ask that you pray for our marriage: that our home would honor God, that our love would reflect Christ, and that our covenant would stay strong through every season.

With love, Esther and Justin

What we are doing, and why.

  • It will be intimate.

Mostly family and a few very close friends, in Laurel, Maryland, on January 12, 2027.

  • The money is going toward a home.

A big wedding runs twenty to eighty thousand dollars for one day. We would rather put that toward a down payment and the life after the day.

  • It is a covenant before God.

That is what the day is about. Everything else is details.

  • You are part of this.

Read our story below. If you feel led to sow into our start, there is a way to do that at the end.

Our story

God has been in the middle of this from the start.

We met at church, and for a long time that was all it was. In November 2024 we finally started talking, and things picked up from there.

Before long we were out on the streets of Maryland preaching the gospel together, with Esther's daughter playing guitar beside us. We were moving like a family before either of us had said the word. That is where we fell in love: with each other's character first, and everything else after.

On August 12, 2026, Justin talked Esther into dressing up for a surprise date and took her to Columbia Mall. In the middle of the food court he stopped, asked everyone to listen, told them he loves this woman, and pulled out the ring. She said yes. Then he preached the gospel right there and shared how God had changed his life and brought him to that moment.

Five months later, on January 12, 2027, we marry. Before God, with our family and a few of our closest friends.

Before God, and the people we love.

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.”
